I’m Matthew, a photographer, artist, educator, and former gallery owner who’s spent the last decade making things with light and feeling. My work lives at the intersection of curiosity, storytelling, and visual experimentation. I’ve photographed weddings and portraits, taught college students how to use a camera for the first time, and built still life scenes out of paper, glass, and color just to chase a certain mood.
I’m drawn to images that carry weight, whether through light and shadow, color and form, or small moments that often go unnoticed. My work leans into atmosphere and emotion, always looking for new ways to create visual tension or softness. Teaching is a big part of what I do. I care about making space for people to take creative risks, figure things out, and make work that feels personal.
I’ve been lucky to be part of creative communities that value experimentation and connection, from co-running a gallery space to building collaborative projects that blur the line between art and real life.
This site is still a sketch, a soft launch, a placeholder. But the work here offers a glimpse into the things I’ve built, seen, and felt. There’s more to come. Always.
